My name is Patti Bao and I am a PhD student in the Technology & Social Behavior program at Northwestern University. I am working with Darren Gergle in the CollaboLab where my research focuses on the use of visual information as a tool for collaboration and patterns of collaboration as made salient through information visualization.
I received my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UC Berkeley after studying the interactions between information technology and society, design and usability. Much of this portfolio covers projects I did for coursework, internships, research groups, and extra-curriculars as an undergraduate. As such, they focus largely on user interface or graphic design and range from usability evaluations to product concepts.
